Individual Therapy

For the ones who look like they have it together, and are quietly running on empty.

You've built something real. Now let's make sure you can actually enjoy it. Individual therapy at Soul Works is designed for high-achieving adults who are ready to do growth work, not just crisis management.

Culturally grounded, real-talk, evidence-based care for the version of you that's ready to go further.

What It's Like in the Room

What I do that most therapy pages can't say.

I name the dynamic, not just the feeling

"You weren't in a relationship, he was in an exploitation. Those are not the same thing." Separating what you were in from what was done to you hands the wound back to its right owner.

My metaphors carry the clinical weight

Holes in the foundation. Revoke some PIN numbers. Payday loan coping. Complicated trauma and relational concepts that land plainly, without ever talking down.

I separate the pattern from the occasion

Note the pattern, not the occasion. The work is in the shape of the thing, not in over-weighting any single good day or bad one.

I hold the clinical authority

Pace, session length, frequency, and modality are my call. Collaborative, never outsourced. That posture is part of why high-functioning clients trust the room.

After most sessions, you'll receive a written guide built around what happened in the room. Pull quotes from what you said, a reflection question about your decision, an embodiment practice, and a short list for between now and your next session. Not a worksheet. A narrative. Signed, Dr. Crabb.

ART

Accelerated Resolution Therapy, a focused path through trauma.

ART is a research-supported therapy that works with how painful memories, trauma, and distressing images are stored in your brain. The protocol is typically delivered in 1 to 5 sessions. No homework. No reliving the past in detail. Just focused, honest work.

What is ART?

Accelerated Resolution Therapy was developed by Laney Rosenzweig and combines elements of several effective therapies, including eye-movement desensitization (like EMDR). It uses guided eye movements to help your brain reprocess distressing images and the feelings attached to them.

The result is a structured, predictable process that works with your brain's natural ability to heal, gently and efficiently.

"You keep the memory, but lose the pain. That's the magic of ART." Dr. Tanya Crabb, Psy.D.

How a session works.

01

You bring the issue

A memory, image, feeling, or situation that's been weighing on you, no need to explain every detail.

02

Guided eye movements begin

I guide your eyes back and forth while you hold the image in mind, activating your brain's natural reprocessing system.

03

The image shifts

You're guided to replace the distressing image with something neutral or positive, one you choose.

04

You leave different

Most clients report feeling noticeably lighter, calmer, and more in control, often after just one session.

Who ART is for.

Trauma survivors

For those carrying the weight of past events that still surface in the present.

Veterans & first responders

For those whose work has exposed them to repeated stress, loss, and high-stakes moments.

Anxiety & phobias

For persistent fear or worry that limits how freely you move through daily life.

Intrusive thoughts

For images or thoughts that arrive uninvited and refuse to quiet down.

Feeling easily triggered

For a nervous system that reacts before you've had a chance to think.

Stuck grief & loss

For grief that has settled in and stayed, long past the point you expected it to move.

What to expect

  • No homework required
  • You stay in control of your story
